Website terms
Effective November 4, 2026
These terms apply to your use of ruud.media, operated by Ruud Media LLC, Neil Ruud’s independent software and systems design studio. By using the site, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. Questions can be sent to hello@ruud.media.
About this site
The public site provides information about Ruud Media and a way to contact us. Its content is general information, not advice tailored to your project or a promise of a particular result. We may change, suspend, or remove site content or functionality.
Client work and payments
Visiting the site, sending an inquiry, or exchanging introductory emails does not by itself establish a client relationship or require either party to begin work. A project begins when we agree on the engagement.
Proposals, statements of work, service agreements, and other separately agreed client terms govern our services. Invoice and payment pages support those arrangements. These website terms do not create or change payment obligations, project scope, deliverables, intellectual property ownership, or service warranties agreed elsewhere. If there is a conflict about client services or payment, the applicable separate agreement controls.
Payments processed by Stripe are also subject to the terms presented by Stripe for that payment service. Use private invoice links only if they were provided to you or you are authorized by the intended recipient. Keep those links private and contact us if you believe one was disclosed or sent to you in error.
Site content and intellectual property
Ruud Media or its licensors own the site’s text, graphics, branding, design, and code unless otherwise indicated. You may view the site and make reasonable copies of public content for personal reference or internal business evaluation. You may link to our public pages.
You may not redistribute or sell substantial portions of the site, remove ownership notices, or use our name or branding to imply an endorsement without permission. Any material published under a separate license remains subject to that license. These terms do not limit rights that applicable law gives you, including fair use.
Permitted use
Use the site lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with its operation or other people’s access. Do not attempt unauthorized access, probe private invoice data, distribute malware, overload the service, bypass access restrictions, or use the site to misrepresent your identity or authority.
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the site, its users, or confidential information, or to comply with law.
External links and services
The site links to services such as LinkedIn and may direct you to Stripe for payment. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their content, availability, or practices. A link does not by itself mean that we endorse everything on the linked service.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle information and how to control optional analytics and advertising features. Your tracking choices do not change your ability to view the public site or contact us.
Availability and warranties
We aim to keep the site useful and accurate, but it may contain errors, be out of date, or be unavailable. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.
This paragraph concerns the website. Warranties or commitments in a separate client agreement remain governed by that agreement.
Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ruud Media LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost data.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Liability relating to client services or invoices is governed by the applicable separate agreement and applicable law.
Changes and contact
We may revise these terms by publishing an updated version with a new effective date. Changes apply to use of the site after they take effect, subject to any notice or consent required by law. A revision to these website terms does not amend a separate client agreement.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. For questions about the site or these terms, email hello@ruud.media.
